James DeGale should request an investigation regarding the illegal actions that the IBF has done during the rankings of certain boxers (in this particular example - Uzcategui). In 2014, Uzcategui was defeated in WBO eliminator by Matt Korobov. He came back in 2015 in a 171lbs fight, and defeated a fighter named Daniel Eduardo Yocupicio with a record of 6 wins and 28 losses. Somehow, that was enough for IBF to award Uzcategui with the final title eliminator fight at 168 versus Julius Jackson. Seems like the IBF haven't learned the lesson from their corruption scandal in 1999.
I'm going with DeGale. He is what Tim Bradley was years ago, a constant underdog in all his fights. DeGale has come to America took the title, went to Canada defended the title and will defend this for all to see on PBC because Haymon has never lost a purse bid and he is down with Hearn. DeGale by MD or SD.
The IBF are really becoming a joke, I'm all for being strict and enforcing mandatories but they get poor mandatory challenegers like glaskov and this guy, its a joke they make their belt worthless The wbc is the opposite they have great mandatories like GGG and povetkin but won't enforce mandaotories because they want to protect their puppet champions. I think the who is becoming the most legit belt right now
:deal Boxings Catch 22. organizations. Spot on with the WBA giving out belts like christmas and the WBO being a Top Rank organization.
Great fight. I rate Uzcategui well over Gilberto Ramirez who's set to fight Abraham soon. DeGale will probably outpoint Uzcategui but the scorecards might be wide in the UK - which I imagine this fight will take place.
The Ooze Cat isn't a bad fighter, but I don't see him pulling out a decision vs DeGale in the UK. He will give him a nights work though, and the fight not be too terrible to watch either.
