This may be no walkover for Kessler. This Perdomo guy is a bit loosey goosey. Kessler likes people who are predictable. This fight is going to show Kessler in a different light. Kessler likes to know constantly what's in front of him. He hates guys who can switch things around. Calzaghe & Mundine often had success because they were a little unpredicatable, a little unorthodox. This guy is exactly that. I've just reviewed some footage of him and though he doesn't strike me as someone who could beat Kessler. He could make him look a bit more ordinary than his reputation. Prediction: Kessler will look poor tomorrow night before winning handily on points. Evaluation: Kessler's stock will fall. Froch will be the new favourite for the Super 6. Conclusion: Lump money on Kessler on Sunday. Predictable Froch & Abraham are tailormade for Kessler.
He does look bizarre. He does look kinda like Breidis Prescott in appearence, but he fights in an even more weird way. His arms flop everywhere and he looks unco-orindated and lacking balance.
Which is exactly why I think Kessler won't like him. Do you see my point? Kessler likes A + B = C This guy ain't about that.
no need to worry as you'll have a harder time with breakfast tomorrow morning in choosing coffee or tea to wash your eggs and bacon down than Kessler will have Saturday with this fruitcake of the month club/(fighter).
I don't see this guy taking Kessler's jab away. It took Calzaghe six rounds to really start getting the better of Kessler remember. Most 168lb'ers would have been felled by those uppercuts that Calzaghe was hammered with.
It works both ways, mate. Perdomo was beaten by the underrated Veit, evidence he doesn't like fighting abc 123 orthodox boxers with decent/great jab. Mikkel Kessler will look like Mikkel Kessler. Boxings current P4P number 1.
Kessler shines against one dimensional fighters but against awkward fighters he's puts the pedal to the medal and gets on with the job. Against Mundine and Siaca, he went after them and started beating on them. Sure they have moments, most defensive fighters will. He didn't lose a round v Siaca and at best he lost 2 or 3 v Mundine. Even against Joe he didn't wait around, he kept trying. It just wasn't meant to be because Joe is that good. This guy might be awkward but Mikkel won't stand around, he'll get to work. To beat Mikkel you need to be ultra talented, intelligent and dynamic.
Really looking forward to the return of the Viking Warrior... Its been far too long. Hope he looks good and gets a few rounds in....great he can concentrate solely on boxing now hes free from ****y Palle. I reckon TKO to Kessler somewhere between R8 and R10
Ideally, 8 rounds with no cuts, no injury, not too much trouble and a nice finish. It would be nice to get some rounds in to sharpern things before the big fight, but obviously that extends the risk too.
Mikkel needs to get on this guy immediately. Blow him out of the water if he can. He don't get paid for overtime and he has a tournament coming up.
