Undefeated going into the fight with Mago, Perez has been done since that victory..Perhaps the trauma suffered by Mago has taken its toll on Perez. He's now won only one of his last 4 fights.

He probably made more a few times more money with this fight than his entire career combined. I don't think he will find the motivation to go on unless something hard-to-say-no is offered, which is highly unlikely. He could take a dive against Chavez Jr for the right money though, the kid needs it and he has $ lol.

Think he should have taken some time off after the Mago fight but he jumped straight back in

    Needs to regroup imo

Excuses.... I haven't seen a discrepancy in Perez's performances post-Mago. The only thing that's changed is the quality of his opposition. :deal

    Povetkin is top shelf.

The way Wlad had to deal with him (excruciatingly ugly) says enough. Wlad did not want to get his chin touched by Povetkin and for good reason.

Perez is a good fighter, but Povetkin is just better. I feel a bit bad for Perez, he seems like a decent guy but that's boxing.
