I think that the best style for beating Klitschkos are types of pressure bob and weave style of fighters like Dempsey,Marciano,Frazier,Tyson,Tua.Only fighter who has that style in today boxing is David Tua but he is too heavy. This type of fighters are very strong, durable, with big punch short and not very heavy under 220lbs.And they are great body punchers.

vitali is just so bloody awkward isnt he.

I think u almost have to outjab him to land anything and hardley anyone has been able to do it. I mean how many 6ft 7inch or whatever fighters have real quality. I think the ideal style is maybe wlad/lewis some who can keep him on the end of hard jab and box his way to victory with some power to keep vitalis workrate down. If someone could mix in some body work that might slow down his awkward way of leaning back from punches but i havent seen too many fighters cause him many problems.

great if slightly over rated fighter

Bob & weave perfect against wlad. Believe it or not perfect style against vitali i would say would be any guy with Power who fights a very dirty , john ruiz , jab & grab type fight. As I suggested if Briggs can drink a tall glass of "stamina juice". if he did just as andre ward did against Green. Rush in, Grab then walk vitali to the ropes or the corner & wail. I think that'll work. Need to neutralize his length , "head on his chest" approach and make it an inside fight. Once Lennox Lewis turned it into an inside fight he was getting the best of vitali. Unfortunately for his opponents they practically ALL , insist on fighting on the outside like idiots. I understand strategy i'm suggesting is easier said than done but once again I'd like to see someone at least TRY it. Can't recall anyone trying except for Gomez who really is a cruiser thus uneffective. Someone big , with power will have a better result. bottomline make it a rugged , inside , blue collar type fight. Take it to the street and don't allow him to use his length.

A sort of in and out style like a young Michael Spinks would work against Vitali, almost without question. I think Haye has some of that, which is why he should challenge Vitali. Wlad, however, has much quicker hands and feet and he is a good counter puncher. The style that is works against him, as we have seen, is constant pressure and a good chin. Two out of the three guys that defeated him had to suffer through hellacious beatings, but with pressure they were able to emerge victorious.

Also, a prime Holyfield with his in and out still and inside fighting would have beaten Vitali pretty easily, in my opinion.

That style accompanied with a great chin IMO... the jabs are like telephone poles, e few hits and it's lights out. But the problem is, even though they are powerfull they are still just jabs flying at fast accurate rate to the opponents face. They can dodge some but they can't dodge them forever, so...

    A great beard!!
