Performances that don't get their due because they were too dominant?

I've always thought that Floyd would have beaten any version of Manny. But Manny was clearly injured in that fight, and then there's the whole IV scandal.

Jesus Christ! How the hell did you get from Lewis vs Bruno to Bruno wasn’t as good as Duran p4p? You might as well add that Lewis couldn’t kick as fast as Bruce Lee.

Floyd over jmm is the most overlooked performance I can think of. Jmm was #2 p4p Floyd had been out of the ring for almost 2 years and jmm could hardly lay glove on him and Mayweather could hardly miss. Much more impressive than lomas win over an inactive and faded rigo which gets a ton of praise and regularly cited as a masterclass around here

He was drained and ill? That was a new one to me. Was he drinking and doing coke as well? Had a relative held captive by Pac's crew?

Btw, how many here put good money on Pac against Oscar and made a tidy winning? It was apparently a no brainer that Oscar was drained and in a bad way, so I expect some here to have cleaned house on that one.

Good point. He definitely had to battle to make 175. Even still, BHOP completely neutralized Tarver's strengths.

What on earth are you talking about?

    You're clueless.

Go and familiarise yourself with what happened.

I was surprised he was even allowed to fight after I saw the weigh-in.

Tarver could well have been beaten fair and square. But Mackie Shilstone's comments leading up to the fight has always had me wondering.

Mackie helped Bernard in camp and he was interviewed during a break. And in the interview, he said that he expected Tarver to be flat as he'd had to burn muscle to get back down to LHW after his role in the Rocky movie.

After the fight, Tarver said that he felt great in camp, but on the night of the fight he was totally devoid of energy.

It may have been sour grapes. I don't know. But Roy Jones, Chris Byrd and Chad Dawson also said the same thing when they lost muscle. So I think it's definitely something to consider.

I think it`s an overlooked performance in terms of how everybody ignored the fact that JMM knocked Manny out years later and how Manny always struggled much more with JMM in their meetings than Floyd did v JMM, he completely outclassed him.

Canelo has improved massively since that loss.

The Spinks fight was an amazing offensive display by Mike and Tyson proved he could deal with fast hands by beating Tubbs.

I couldn't believe how sharp he looked. But Floyd being Floyd took the shine off of the win with his antics regarding the weight.

Doesn't really take much shine off for me when I ask myself if this fight would have been any different if Floyd was a few pounds lighter? Was his fight night weight any different than normal?
