Nah, Fernando definitely had the tools, but in hindsight he was shopworn even at that stage of his career. Maybe i was expecting too much from him, but i was still disappointed in his performance. Oscar did what he had to do though.
Yeah, his bottle isn't in question...... Cotto, Hatton and Khan have given him hidings and he's always tried to stay in there. He's definitely got a future as a decent journeyman/gatekeeper at 147, as an opponent to test your fancied man against. His last opponent was a bit of a joke though, so I'm reluctant to go overboard.
Maybe, I've just never been that big on him to be honest. He did have a lot of toughies early in his career, with Wright, Trinidad etc. How many did he have in the end..... I guess not many people can claim to have fought those two, DLH and Mosley x 2 in about 30 fights.
That was the most frustrating part Tarver was visibly blowing between rounds You were just shouting at the tele all he had to do was a little bit more and he could have run away with it but i guess you are probably about right both were pretty shot and ultimately Tarver probably had a little more to win at home
yeah you hear after that woods was ill and all that but tarver was there for the taking...if only woods could have done it then he'd have lifted his name so much higher. i was really disappointed in that performance
Id been giving it the big one to my mates who are just casuals... about Junior Witter and how Hatton was ducking him and how Witter was the ****ing man. Then i sat there in silence while Timothy Bradley made me and Witter look like right berks :huh :fire
Too many to count, its always most annoying when a fighter talks so much hype about his power and walks in and doesnt even throw, its part of the game but dont get me excited to see fireworks if you aint brought the matches. I think we can all think of a thousand names to go along with that abraham one of the most recent. It is annyoing though when you force mates to watch a fight with you after youve been talking about how your fighters gonna do this gonna do that then the opposite happens the night of the khan fight was particularly bad for that with macklin, clev, bellew putting on poor performances. Then khan deciding to bang rather than box made me look like a collossal mug, good night anyway.
john dudy vs walid smichet was one, followed by both performances in the main event of ibragimov - W klitschko. ****ing horrible fight, with ibragimov being the main offender to my eyes
Audley Harrison vs David Haye. I was very disappointed for Audley Harrison. Mike Tyson vs Kevin Mcbride.
