Perico Fernandez 'I Got KO'd By A 2-Bout Pro'

Saensak Muangsurin (Thailand) 2-0-0 (2 KO's) scores an incredible 'upset' by scoring a {TKO 8} over
WBC Light-Welterweight Champion - Perico Fernandez (Spain) 34-3-9 (18 KO's).

Perico Fernandez;

'I completely under-estimated him. He was very composed for a '2-Bout' rookie. I hit him with
my tremendous right-hand, and he just ate them and fired back with his own hard punches.'

'I don't know what happened. After the 5th Round, my arms went dead and my muscles turned
to butter. His punches felt like knives cutting through my body. I will now have the difficult
task of starting over.'

Perico Fernandez made the 'mistake' or ridiculing Saensak Muangsurin in the 'early rounds',
permitting the Thailand fighter to gain confidence.

Martin Miranda (Perico's fight manager);

'It was 115* (Degrees) in the ring for the opening round. By the 5th Round, it was 122* (Degrees).
I never felt heat come so quickly. Perico was 'physically' drained by the end of Round 7.

'Perico made the mistake of coming here only '3-days' before this bout. His body was not adjusted
to the intense heat and high humidity. He did not prepare properly in training, and was not in
good physical condition to battle his Thailand opponent.'

Saensak Muangsurin;

'I was scared at first, because I knew he was a good fighter with a tremendous right hand. But
he didn't fight smart in the early rounds, as he did not fight aggressively. He allowed me to take
control. Then I surprised him with my power, as he did not realize how hard I can punch.'
