    De La Hoya landed 191 of 557.

    Whitaker outjabbed De La Hoya, 160-45.

    De La Hoya landed 146 of 363 to Whitaker's 72 of 192.

    I had 7-5 for DLH. I saw Whitaker landing jabs and DLH landing power shots.

    De La Hoya never landed 146 power shots. Clean punches to the face and the side of the head, and clean body shots?. Nope. And Whitaker landed 146 jabs, no way. Not clean jabs anyway.

    Those stats simply give us a picture of how the fight went in terms of each fighter going about their business. De La Hoya threw more power punches, and probably did land more. Roles revered with Whitaker landing with jabs over De La Hoya. But the numbers must be questioned.

    Mayweather is good in his own right, but doesn't look as natural as Whitaker did. Whitaker made it look easy and did it so fluidly. Mayweather looks a bit more stiff, but that has to do with his style.
