I find it tough to split them, because although Whitaker had a much better resume - Floyd has a more judge-friendly style and is as good at making people miss as Whitaker, whilst being more attacking - though take into account the standard of opponent faced generally.

If my head was on the block, probably Whitaker, SD.

I think out of all potential fairy tale opponents pitted against Floyd, this is the hardest one to call. In his prime, no one was better at making people miss than Pernell - plus he hit harder than Mayweather (being more of a true welterweight). Very tough to call....

Well, 135, pernell SD's floyd, considering Floyd's weak resume at 135(almost lost to JL castillo).

At 130 though, its all floyd, in a match where SO many punches are missed.

I pick Sweet Pea. He does what Floyd does, only better.

Be a wonderful fight to watch, though.

Whittaker takes this. The way Pernell handled Chavez, who was superior to anyone Mayweather ever fought, is the barometer. And afterwards Floyd would have cried.

Tough call, but Pernell was "unhittable". For the interest of the thread: Sweet Pea by SD
