I know this topic has proberly already been posted before but im curious to see your cards..........

I have been a huge boxing fan for a number of years and seldom have i seen two elite fighters matched together only for the other one to absolutely DOMINATE. This for me is one of the finest boxing clinics i have seen by any elite boxer vs another elite boxer, Taking into consideration these two were rated 1 & 2 respectively in the ENTIRE sport. Lets be honest Whitaker took him to school did't he? Just watched the fight again and scored it. This has left me feeling PISSED actually thats putting it lightly, im damn right furious!! How can something like this happen in sport? Only in boxing eh?

How the **** did the judges have it 115-113 whitaker and 115-115 x 2 Majority decison draw??? Here's my scorecard:

    Round 1:
Whitaker 9-10 Chavez: Tentative start for whitaker.

    Round 2:
Whitaker 10-9 Chavez: Whitaker timing him better and establishing the jab.

Round 3: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez. Clear round.

Round 4: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez. Clear round.

Round 5: Whitaker 10-10 Chavez: Better round for Chavez, does NOT mean he won the round. competitive but even.

Round 6: (Download only had 1 minute of this round therefore i did not score, however from the sounds of things another Whitaker round)

Round 7: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez: Clear round.

Round 8: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez: HUGE round for Whitaker, fighting in the pocket scoring at will.

Round 9: Whitaker 9-10 Chavez: Whitaker took round off. Chavez won on effective aggression and use of straight rights.

Round 10: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez: Clear round.

Round 11: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez: Clear round.

Round 12: Whitaker 10-9 Chavez: Closed the fight.

    Totals:

    Whitaker 108-102 Chavez

    * Note: As i did not score 6th round my score card could have been either 118-111 or 117-112 either way a CLEAR victory for Sweetpea. For me this is one of the easiest fights to score.

Whitaker deserved that W over Chavez it was an absolute boxing masterclass. Chavez won no round Clearly and Whitaker made him look amateur. Scorcards please.

I distinctly remember card being 117-111 for Whitaker the last time I scored it, though I can't do a round by round breakdown at the moment. From memory I know Pea dominated from rounds 5 onward. Have to watch again:good

No way a draw though, that was absolutely terrible:verysad

haha, nice. i really should re watch and re score before posting but i believe i had it around 116-112. the only clear round for chavez was round 1 but i do remember a few tricky ones where chavez scraped by on my card based on aggression. i know that useless agression doesn't count for much but there were periods in this fight (as there were throughout his career) that pea just coasted and didn't anything. 116-112 is as generous as possible for chavez and it could EASILY be a 10-2 split for pea

True, if you just watch the fight as fan and not do any scoring you would swear Chavez won 1 round at the most!!!

i legitimately think he definitely got 2 rounds...being nice there are 1 or 2 swing rounds but yeah, you're right you have to WANT them to be for chavez

Watch round 8. Chavez is being NAILED in the pocket. Think round 11 he's being back the **** up against the ropes. Reminded me of when Mosley done same to Margarito.

Chavez won no CLEAR rounds!!!! i gave him 2 rounds and 1 even. Round 9 was still close-only cus Whitaker took the round off. How the **** was this fight even remotely close? Anyone who says it was does not know boxing nor can they score a fight. Hell, even 116-112 sounds closer than it really was!! There is NO WAY this fight was a draw. Actually ****s me of when **** like this happens.

oh absolutely, i agree with all of this post except that everytime i watch it, i score round 1 for chavez. the other rounds i give vary but round 1 i think he took. 116-112 is VERY generous in retrospect but that how i scored it the first time i watched and i'm sure i'd come up with a different score today. either way, that's as good as it gets for julio. he lost fair and square. i don't think anyone will really argue that pea won, even though you will probably see a few 7-5 scorecards

115-115 Draw. I was about 13 when I watched and scored it. I would have to rewatch it to see what all this robbery fuss is about.

That poster Divac (I think that's his name) always states that he thinks the draw was actually justified. I'd like to see his scorecard.

He won round 1 yes, but not clearly i don't think. Whitaker started to time him better towards the end. By round 3 it was one way traffic. There is no justification for a 115-113 scorecard. Im sorry but this is soooooo easy to score. Reckon Chavez landed about 5 right hands in total. lol.

Your scored it a draw??? Ur crazy. Im telling you, even a 13 year old newbie should be able to score this fight. Its so ****ing clear its unreal. Whitaker done whatever he wanted with chavez.
