    Whitaker UD. Full steam ahead Lloyd would provide Pernell with a plethora of countering opportunity.

    As much as I like Honeyghan, I don't see him winning. But a close run thing.
    Whitaker on points, just.

    I have mentioned several times on here that i am a massive Honeyghan fan but dont see him winning this one

    I'd take Whitaker if you look at the time frame in which he fought Chavez and McGirt. A few years later, prime Honeyghan might have decisioned him. Pernell didn't have that much left late in his welter reign. Maybe the best I saw at 135 though (going back to 1979 when I started following boxing closely).

    Honey is going to shut up shop until Whittaker has blown his first wind, about 5 rounds, then Lloyd's going to let them go. Problem is, I don't see him landing with more than the odd one.
    Llloyd would be blowing by the 9th and would have to decide whether to empty the tank or suck it up to get to the end.
    There's no way, talent for talent, that Honeyghan could beat Whittaker.
