Not even close, it seems as though most posters here have Pea as a sure top 25 ATG!

Even posters who were not fans of his style(myself included) give him the proper credit.

It's basically the groupies i.e. *******s and Ellie May nuthuggers who would even suggest their respective idols were better overall!:deal

...and then there are posts like this which suggests the opposite of what the thread title implies:patsch

The DLH fight was a close fight that could have gone either way, not a robbery. I had Whitaker ahead, but not by a great deal, and I could see people scoring it a draw or even scoring it for Hoya.

    A robbery is Chavez/Whitaker. That's a robbery.

I don't think Whitaker is very underrated here -- the majority praise him highly. Only a select few hate on him, and a lot of those people consist of bitter Chavez fans or insecure Mayweather Jr devotees.

Whitaker-Ramirez II. The mother of all one sided dominations. A massacre without being too crude.

That really was a masterclass, wasn't it? Something all fans of the sweet science should see, really.

Whitaker was up there with Robinson and Pep when it came to sheer skill and pure boxing. Those old-timers are lucky he wasn't around during the 30's and 40's.

He was better than Leonard. Certainly more complete, apart from power.

Whitaker gets enough appreciation here, he gets talked about alot and most people have him in their top 15ATG.

Marvin Hagler is more under appreciated than Whitaker here.

Sugar Ray or Benny? I think Ray was one of the most complete boxers I've ever seen.

I think his losses and draw even if not deserved and his low knockout % causes him to be over looked.

I don't think Whittaker is under appreciated on ESB , Anytime a thread comes up as to the best LW, it seems to Duran and Pea as the best.

naw i didnt....I said Tito beat him more convincingly that Oscar did. Whitaker wasnt in his prime against Tito, but that doesnt discredit Tito's win and thats what i was debating against,
