Sweet Pea's smoking too much crack. It's chicken dance time again for Judah.

I'm sure Sweet Pea believes in Zab.....problem is Zab has a lot of respect...maybe TOO much respect for PAC. Mentally, Zab has lapsed during tough fights. PAC would test his mental fortitude early and often.

There's no doubt Zab has the tools and talent to give PAC problems but PAc is working with a lot more and he's got a lot of momentum on his side.

Would have been doable for Pea.

I think Pete would have a pretty easy time to be honest, but Judah...well...don't suggest it just in case Arum likes the idea.

I amended the "would have been easy" because no world title fight is easy, but Pea would have won a comfortable decision at 135-147. He had better footwork and defense by far, Pac would have to cut the ring on him very well and he's not too good at that. Pea's also a lot better on the inside too, and would have a lot of success going to the body. Yea he'd eat some leather, but Pea had a fantastic chin that he carried with him. Basically I don't really see Pac winning, he'd try to outwork Pernell and would eat tons of counters to do it. Just a crappy style matchup.

Pac never wins any fantasy match ups, especially versus ATGs.
His supposed best chance is "second tier" greats like Pryor and Benitez. Even then it would be a close vote. His style and abilities has really got everyone befuddled. He supposed to get dominated by so many past and present fighters that it is silly to even discuss it.

It's amazing that anyone who says anything negative about Pacquiao is quickly dogged by you guys. Now Pernell Whitaker is a fool and now you guys are trying to discredit him as a fighter cause he is not a Pacquiao lover. :-(

Agreed.....Pernelle in his prime would have definitley been a hard one for PAC and also for Pernell. I actually think Sweet Pea has a better shot than Floyd to upset PAC. A LOT better chance.

    Thanks.
You're the only one who at least, give his idea why. :good

No doubt his defence his better than Pac's.
He would usually stay in the pocket and avoid shots.
I think Pacquiao throws too much for Pea.
    I don't think Pea's power can get Pacquiao's respect.

    No way!
At least it'S not my case.

I just don't like the usual "guys from the past" beats "present guys" easy....

    Whitaker was fantastic.

There is the chance of Pea coming in there and letting him get outworked; he has been known to smack himself in the face on the cards like that before. Regardless as to how the cards turned out Pernell would definitely be the matador to Pac's bull though; and he'd dictate the pace of the fight. Look at what even a faded version did to a prime oscar. He did a great job of negating the man's athleticism.

Pea's KO percentage/power is misleading. The man had his share of OHKO's and big knockdowns. He wasn't agressive but he was a much more effective puncher than given credit for, watch more of his fights and you'll see that when he does let his hands go, he can deal damage.
    *shrug*

a lot of the greater boxers(which there aren't too many of today) would definitely give pac fits, especially the guys who are natural WW's like Benitez, Leonard, etc. Pac's hard to judge h2h because his WW competition isn't the freshest, and his performances against the best he fought(his featherweight stuff) is mixed, with 2 controversial JMM bouts, a loss to morales... He's a tough fight for anyone from FW-WW, but a lot of guys beat him i think.
