Take the best of each around 140 (I'll allow if either has to melt a couple pounds), put them together in a 20 foot ring with anybody but Joe Cortez. Does Ross handle the southpaw wizardry of Sweat Pea? Would Ross' hustle and gas tank take Pea into deep waters? Pretty sure we can rule out a KO. Thoughts?
Ross wins 2/3 from Pea, but on a one shot fight, Pea wins the single fight. Ross was 72-4-3, and tangled with Ceferino Garcia (3 times), Jimmy McLarin (3), Billy Petrolle (2), and Tony Canzoneri (2). And of course the final loss to Henry Armstrong. Ross' quality depth of his career is proven, and he fought in an era of numerous really good-great lower weight fighters.
