You could make a case for either one and i wouldnt argue. As long as you dont say Whittaker by KO

But the more i think about it id lean towards Curry getting this one Probably by decision and hed score a knockdown along the way. Hed probably have Whittaker on the defensive after tasting the Cobras power. Kind of like Oscar and Whittaker but Curry scores a KD in this one.

Curry's peak was short. Whitaker's was at 135 but circa 1993 he was still close enough to it to frustrate Curry who had less overall mobility. Pete's foot placement, angles and quick salvo's would cause Curry to become tentative later in the match, thus, Whitaker would squeak out a UD by the closest of margins.

It would be interesting to see how 'Pea' would react to Curry's cagey nature. The 'Cobra' looked for those openings and begged for keeps with that speed so Whitaker would have to have his lateral movement extra sharp early on.

The real problem with Curry is not in his ability but his substance. McCallum effectively sent him packing in a fight that he was looking swish in, but if you're not sealing the deal then we must turn to the man who proved himself over, and over again.

Considering the weight difference it must almost be taken into account how well a creaking Whitaker performed against De La Hoya, who while was never as precise or capable of delivering like Donald could dig and put his combinations together.

Ted Spoon would have to assume that a conditioned and younger Whitaker would take the good with the bad and mould it in his favour over 12 frustrating rounds for Curry were there are flashes of brilliance but not enough to stop dissolving out of the picture in the home stretch.

I guess i'd pick Whitaker to pick his way to an ugly decision.

Before he suddenly went off track and sort of self destructed, Curry was one hot, fine looking boxer..I was shocked when he suddenly lost it all.

Curry would win this, by a strong decision.

Seeing what McCallum did to Curry, It would still be a very good fight, but at some point I see these two standin toe to toe somewhere around the 5th or 6th and Curry just gets blasted out with Pernells phenomenal speed, accuracy, and being a great finisher...

ESB treats Curry as if he's a very high ranked ATG.

This would not happen i actually thought Currys hands were faster at WW...this besides sweet pea fighting Hearns isnt a very good match up. The Cobra just has to much physical ability right here for Pernell....Curry by 8th round TKO!
