Sweet Pea for sure. Not Aguello's best weight, but even if it was he's the superior fighter. Jose Luis Ramirez and Bubba Busceme, both southpaws, gave Arguello fits, as did Vilomar Fernandez -- who, while not a southpaw was a cutie with good footwork. The Explosive Thin Man is probably pretty competitive in most rounds but doesn't win enough of them to make it close. Pernell by unanimous decision in a tactical affair.
I think Whitaker would win a decision. Alexis is too flatfooted to trouble Pernell. Whitaker would dip and dodge and avoid most of Alexis's power shots.
Bad match up for Arguello who often struggled with skilled movers and south paws. Whitaker wins a very lopsided decision.
