Probably the same as when he fought Oscar De La Hoya. He'd outbox him and then get robbed on the score cards.

Whitaker is too small for Alvarez.

That was a coke addicted, washed up Pernell. Obviously not an objective comparison. If it was best vs best at that weight, it probably comes out a lot like Whitaker-Vasquez, with Pernell edging Canelo for a relatively close UD.

I just can't jump Pernell to 154 and say he's a prime version. His prime was at 135.

Canelo will beat Pernell Whitaker no matter how badly Sweet Pea outclasses him .

No man beats Canelo on the scorecards .

Considering the ease at which Mayweather beat Canelo, I would favor Pea. Pea gave DLH and Chavez Sr hell (arguably won both). Canelo is not better than either.

True, but the same could almost be said for Mayweather. In fact you could argue his prime was at 130.

Yeah but Floyd is/was still performing at a high level. Whitaker was starting to decline as a WW. And was shot to pieces when he tried 154 and injured himself in his fight with Bojorquez. 154 would be too much for Whitaker imo.

Wasn't Floyd to small for Canelo "THE BEAST" Alvarez?
Alvarez didn't punch as hard as Tito, it wasn't as fast as Oscar, as smart as Buddy as good pressure fighter as JCC, what in the hell does canelo have that Whitaker can't overcome?.

PW was smaller than floyd with an even lighter punch. canelo simply too big this is a dumb scenario. The only 154 version of PW was a washed up shell of his former self. Canelo by quick ko in a stupid hypothetical fight.

Because Canelo has knocked out which great light middles?,Tito had enough power to take more men than Canelo ever did at 154 and he couldn't stop an almost retired sweat pea, Pea beat Vasquez who dropped Wright 5 times!, sorry, Canelo is overrated, he only have his size and he doesn't knows how to use it.
