My guess is that his substance abuse and lifestyle was catching up to him, and wasn't preparing for fights like he should have. Maybe Whitaker loses on an off-night, undertraining, overusing and drinking. He probably was much more focused for the big fight with DLH.
Only way this is competitive is if the 6 of them jumped Pea. The Whitaker of 93 would embarrass every last one of the listed welters.
Put all 6 of 'em in the ring with the Pea at once,...none would touch..well, maybe Pac with a grazing jab or two.
