Btw, my pick is Whitaker, but this is far from a confident prediction.

Whitaker at any weight. Where are Mayweather's advantages in this matchup? Think about it, and then pick Whitaker.

Mayweather would also have beaten Chavez at welterweight.I just think it would be a really close decision between these two.

I disagree. Chavez was not natural at the weight true, but he was still very effective at 142, which is what he weighed in for the Whitaker fight. Floyd's lack of movement at WW and reliance on fighting off the ropes and countering, in comparison to Whitaker's ability to fight off the backfoot behind the jab, is the main difference. Chavez would be within range of Floyd much more often than he was Whitaker, and if Floyd thinks he's having his usual success on the insde against a fighter like Chavez, he has another thing coming. At 130 I'd take Floyd over Chavez, but nowhere else.

Not really, competitive but clear for Whitaker IMO.

Whitaker is out of the blocks far quicker, he's a southpaw with a more consistent jab, he avoids more punches with upper body movement rather than blocking most of them which will look better to judges, and he has a higher work-rate.

I feel PBF has an offense advantage over Pernell. Pernell has that great jab, but Floy has that lead & he makes you pay EVERY time you make a mistake, Whitaker just makes you look like a fool every mistake you make

In short, Whitaker at least matches Floyd in all of his strengths, while holding the edge in others, as well as having dimensions to his game (as well as stylistic advantages that trouble Floyd like the southpaw stance, higher workrate, more efficient jab, etc) that Floyd flat out didn't possess.

The poll is private, so I guess the Floyd boys will try to get in their say before it turns in Whitaker's favor as it always does. Check the history, Whitaker always wins by a landslide.
