Anyone any thoughts on this one. Camacho pre the Roasario fight was a fantastic fighter. Would be a great purist matchup:good
Pea by UD. Camacho was VERY good in his prime, but not in Pea's league. Despite the fact that Camacho was faster than Pea, Pernell would still give him a boxing lesson.
If I were analyzing this matchup with both at their peaks, Camacho in his early days as a blurring speedster, I'd call it very close. That is if I weren't aware of what down in the '83 sparring session between a young, Olympian Pea and a peak Camacho. More than likely it would be a very competitive fight though, with Pea's edges in defense, workrate, and the clincher: in-fighting, giving him the edge.
When in the hell was Pea green? He beat the living **** outta Roger Mayweather before his 15th fight. Theres NO version of Camacho that beats Pernell Whitaker.
