Sweet Pea has the type of skills and tools that tend to trouble Pac. Would probably be a great fight.
whitaker outboxes him, his movement gives pac so much trouble, the only thing that pac brings to the table is any other fighter tires out after hitting nothing but air for a few rounds, pac would be throwing vicious combinations with mean intent in the 1st round all the way through to the 12th
I think Pacquiao would lose badly at 140. I don't like him against other great fighters at JWW. At featherweight and superfeather I'd give him a shot against anyone. But not JWW.
Yes, but so did a prime Trinidad and a shot coked out Pea ate his punches for breakfast without being hurt,
For as long a Whitaker keeps his distance and jabs Pac to death, avoids the corners and never exchanges, he should win easily.
Pacquiao had a lot more speed and stamina than Trinidad. But still Pernell is too big. Pacquiao would fare better against the great featherweights.
No he didn't, this is why I know you DKSAB. Trinidad has stamina for days, most of his big knockouts came later in the fight, this is why Oscar ran from him in the last rounds, he knew Trinidad was a threat later on in the fight. You cannot argue against it, Trinidad hit waaay harder than Pac and had greater stamina. That's just fact. Sweet Pea had an ironcast Jaw, elite defense, elite boxing skills, elite speed and underrated power. I think you've only been a fan of boxing when Pac rose up the ranks which is understandable. But facts are facts. :yep
Bad bad night for Whitaker as Pac will jut walk through his pillow punches. This is not Mayweather who is very underrated with regards to punching power. He will be seeing 2 Pacquiaos in this fight.
This is an absolutely fascinating fight. Love pac but no way does he destroy Whitaker or vice versa. Im ever so slightly leaning Sweat Pea but its basically a 50/50 fight.
yeh i think at 140 and 147 pac becomes more of a well rounded boxer puncher but against pernell hes best shot is becoming the old reckless pac that was basically just a typhoon of wild punches
Look at Pacquiao's resume.. Morales (semi prime) Mayweather (out of his prime) Marquez all gave Pacquiao FITS. In 60+ fights.. He's been in with 3 people who actually know how to box.. And you see the results.. No way on Gods' green earth does Pacquiao touch a prime Whitaker.. Pacquiao looks good against face first fighters.
