Whitaker by UD, Pea's jab would be causing Floyd problems throughout the whole fight.

floyd wouldnt be able to get passed sweet pea's jab, and if he did he would get schooled in the close exchanges. sweet pea via wide UD

Whitaker via decision. Both are great boxers. I think Pernell Whitaker is slightly better than Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    At 135 8-4 Whitaker At 140/147 I think it goes 7-5 in Whitaker's favor.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. would beat Pete via UD. Floyd does EVERYTHING Pete did but, better. Not to mention, Floyd is, by far, the bigger puncher.

Good point Mayweather's power is underated at 147, Whitaker's is underated at 135. I don't think a stopage is likely though.

that's a pretty gross generalization. i don't think mayweather does everything better, nor does pea do everything better. they are very similar in many ways and at 135, very close to equal.

i would lean towards pea due to his more versatile defense and offense (his body attack is much better) but mayweather likely has the power advantage at that weight and he was an absolutely brilliant ring general. the rounds that mayweather takes are likely to be more definitive but i see whitaker taking a decision the likes of 7-5, with some being difficult to score

He is vastly the superior fighter. On an entirely different plane, frankly.

Don't try getting through to southpaw jab, the guy's off his rocker.

in a styles fight though, this one is interesting. mayweather at 135 fought quite differently than the one shot wonder of today. he used combinations, albeit in spurts, his defense was still top notch and he had respectable power. pea was brilliant against all types of opponents but someone like mayweather, i see frustrating him
