You can score that fight however you want to. Nothing is a robbery with that confusing fight. They were evenly matched.
The funny thing is, people don't give credit to Oscar for his performance vs Whitaker. I pick that Whitaker over todays Floyd.
With that said, I had Oscar winning but I wouldn't call it a 'loss' for Whitaker.

I've always felt that he edged Oscar, though its been years since I've seen it. It also sucks that the rule was in effect that he was docked a point for an "accidental" head butt just because the other guy was bleeding and he wasn't.. He out threw and out landed on De La Hoya and even scored a flash knockdown. oscar landed the more effective shots, but it wasn't enough in my opinion. A draw would have at least been a fair outcome.

I wouldn't have a problem with a draw either, it was a very long Time ago From what I gather Oscar deserved the nod..

For me in a very close draw type fight I score for the aggressor the man that comes forward and presses the action in this case it was Oscar..

I thought Pea won, and subsequent showings haven't changed my mind. I have him winning even with the point deduction. However, I generally don't even count the point deduction against Pea as it wasn't deserved and a lame rule

I don't even think it was an " official " robbery, though I have no problem with people who scored it closer than the judges. Either way I just can't make a case for Pernell winning the fight.

Absolutely no robbery. Super close fight. I had Oscar just edging it.
