You're right, this sounds a bit odd since Zab is at his best on the attack and Pernell was at his best in retreat. Also, has Pernell ever trained anyone of note?
well Zab can use a lot of help in avoiding punches as he has a history of becoming discouraged when he starts getting hit. That's led him to be badly beaten up by nearly every top fighter he's fought. He can't do a worse job than Zab's father
Zab Judah has given fans so many false hopes over the years, every year the fans keep saying Zab is "back", or Zab will finally put all the talent together but he never does and this time is no different. He will learn from Whitaker, but I think once he gets in that ring he'll go back to the same old Zab.
