Guess this fight could only have happened at Jr MW. Both coming in whilst still in their prime age and in their best form. In one corner, you have Whittaker the smaller but, more gifted (imo) defensive wizard and in the other, the bigger opponent (Wright) with an armour like defense. Ok, who takes it?

Pea would have given Winky fits with his defense and movement. Pea by UD.

As good as Sweet Pea was - I don't think he would have been able to handle Wright, especially if he was appling pressure like he's been doing in his last couple of fights. Winky wins by UD.

You have to land punches to score point - and hitting Winky's arms will get you no points. However - it will get you countered.

Both of these guys were and are good at what they do - so it's hard for me to really pick a winner - but I'm sticking with Wright.

Pretty good fight, but remember that Pea wasn't near his best at 154, and never really fought there. He looked just Ok in winning the title over Vasquez.

I think Wright picks him off and takes a decision.

Whitaker was a much better fighter than Wright. He didnt look oridinary against guys like Fernando Vargas and Bronco McKart.

Once again, this fight is at 154. Wright is a more natural 154 and Whitaker was slower at that weight.

Whitaker wasn't close to being in his prime weight at 154lbs. He'd get absolutely battered.

They had different, but equally effective forms of defense. The purists of the sport tend to favor the Pea's type of defense, as it depends on more agility than Pinky's I guess, but if a style like Pinky's works, then it's hard to argue with it. I guess a third form of defense would be heavy dependence on footwork and good legs.

Wright uses his size en route to an 8-4 UD.

Winky UD12. He's one of the best ever at 154.

Winky wins 7 or 8 rounds.

Winky would be bigger, I still think Whitaker takes it in a close fight.
