Persoon wants third fight with Taylor , think she won 96-94 .

She won the fight, it would be the same result unless she KO's Taylor. The hype surrounding Taylor is unreal.

 

IMO Taylor lost the first fight, and her body language in the first said she thought that too. This second fight? A lot closer than the first and messy as hell, but a case could be made for Persoon again edging it due to activity- and in spite of how awful the charging forward looked. It was a type of effective aggression, even if it was awful to watch. She used her limited skill to basically shut down a major part of Taylor's offense. A third fight would most likely yield the same result.

 

Persoon landed more than Taylor.

Making your opponent miss doesn't count as a scoring shot.

 

I don't understand the people who thought Persoon clearly won. Look at Persoons face vs Taylor's face, it says it all. After 3 rounds Persoon's face was almost like a squeezed tomato.

I'd say maybe a draw was a fair result.

 

Yes but doesn't the quality of the punches matter? Or is it simply that you landed?

If that's the case then do you think Hughie fury deserved to beat Povetkin? Hughie landed way more but povetkins punches were of far more quality.

 

I scored both fights for katie.In the post fight interview after the 2nd fight Persoon said Katie won the fight fair and square.Think its now sour grapes

 

Defense and clean punches landed are actually both scoring criteria. Punch totals are not tallied to score rounds.

Persoon was robbed in the first fight, I don't think it was close, but I'm not gonna lie I was happy when Katie got her hand raised, it just felt a bit dirty at the same time.

I was way too waved to score there last fight, but I felt like it could've gone either way.
That said, with bias smothered all over it like gravy on a roast, I thought Katie made Persoon look even more awkward than normal forcing her to throw ineffective ugly scuffing shots, I think the cleaner work came from Katie.

I was happy she got her hand raised and I didn't feel dirty about it this time.

 

Taylor head cause most of that damage. Head clash don't count in boxing. Looking at the face damage from mostly heads coming together doesn't count and Taylor wisely used her head to her adv you can see a lump on her noggin as well....

I addressed this in the fight thread on the night. Incredible how many supposed "boxing" fans don't like and\or don't understand "boxing"!! There was some elite skills on display in that fight, and I'll give a hint - they weren't coming from the Belgian! Awesome engine, courage and toughness, but there was only one winner, Katie!
