This may not mean anything but just throwing it out there. Mayweather/Canelo did 2.2 million buys, a PPV record. Their most viewed press conference video has around 960K on youtube.....in a year. Mayweather/Pacquiao press conference has 1.1 million youtube views in 6 days. For those who think this fight won't break records, I highly disagree, even with it being 100$.
This fight should be an enormous success. Non-boxing fans who just follow Mayweather were excited for the Canelo fight, even though none of them had ever heard of Canelo. Everyone knows Pacquiao, so I think it'll do 3M buys.
Imagine if the press conference wasn't all-time-uneventful, too... What if there was a push or jawing during the stare down? Really missed out on the opportunity in favor of being PC.
Absolutely agree. I think Mayweather should've been the more "Jawing" Mayweather than the "I took a Xanax before I came here" Mayweather. The stare down was pretty intense though! A minute long! Not too shabby.
who doesn't think it will break records? Im sure it will beat the alvarez fight, I just don't think it does as much as many are projecting. Im thinking 2.8 to 3.3......... below or above that would shock me.
Records will be broken by a mile. Watch the hype build up a week before the fight. It'll be ridiculous.
