I've always been a fan of these two and had always wanted to see their fight, which took place in 1982. Pete had been a solid welterweight contender in the 70's and Sean had been lightweight champion a few years earlier, having beaten Hilmer Kenty in a great fight.

This was just an action packed bout between 2 real gamers. Anybody who remembers these 2 should enjoy this.

I always liked O'Grady...I think he's better than some on this forum think he is....but he justafiably lost this fight to Ranzany....another fighter I was really hig on during this era was the tough as hell Randy Sheilds, who lost, I believe, to Ranzany also but was, in my view, the better fighter...certainly tougher, than Ranzany.

Randy Shields was a pretty good fighter in his day, Cuevas couldn't do nothing to him during their title fight, and he was the one who said Leonard telegraphed his punches.O'Grady was a pretty good fighter, and a damn good commentator for USA network.Shame he went out like a dud versus Verderosa.

Benitez's one sided destruction of Shields is one of the more impressive and inexplicable fights I can remember.
