Yeah, McCline is done. I agree. He always, always, found a way to lose winnable fights when he wasn't done, so I don't hold out a lot of hope in this one. However, whoever said Peter should be finishing guys when he hurts them, I agree. that's what TOP level guys with power do. When they hurt you, it's over. Even in recent times, Lewis, Tua, hell even the head hunter version of Tyson in the 90's, EVEN hasbeen Rahman, if they hurt a guy and have him in trouble, they finish the job. Could come back to haunt Peter if he can't do the same.
1. He had no chance to KO Wlad as Wlad was bear-hugging him the entire fight. 2. Show me someone that has knocked out James Toney. Anyone. :hi:
I agree, he had Wlad hurt in there fight and couldnt land a solid punch to finish Wlad off. Peter only just turned 27, and he is getting better every fight.
Peter looks Good he is going to starch McCline and it will be quick. Get the Golota fight ready as filler.
This guy is a doofus he reminds me of the typical African stereotype ala Eddie Murphy in Coming to America. Jeez at least he should beat the real Champion before he goes Around acting like he is the Undisputed, what a dope.atsch
I agree with most of what you say in posts, but honestly I think any heavywieght would have trouble taking Toney out wouldnt you agree?
I'm a HUGE Peter fan and believe me, he is nowhere near a "great" fighter. I can easily admit that. He is, however, a very exciting, hard-hitting, granite-chinned HW that is also a humble, good person to his core. He will be champion in 2008 for sure and in my opinion, will be the man to stop Wladamir Klitschko.
Other than Klitschko, I doubt anybody would have stopped the Toney that Peter fought. Not Chagaev, not Brewster, not McCall, not Maskaev, not Ibragimov. Though David Tua may have a good shot.
I could see Wlad having a chance at knocking Peter out, though I dont see Tua doing it as easy at least not at this stage in career, I see it looking like when Tua fought Bryd.
As disgusting as it is, there is a lot of truth in these words. McCline is a little too easy to hit, and Peter throws a lot of haymakers the first 3 or 4 rounds. An early KO is probably the most likely scenario. God only knows who will win the kissing and hugging contest if McCline can survive the early onslaught.
