With a promotion of this nature is is standard fare to have a backup fighter ready to go in case of injury. Anything less than being professional makes it look like this was planned in advance. Wilder says he will fight and yet we get a guy nobody has heard of before. And hes fighting for a title? boxing really stinks when you let this sort of **** happen

Read the quotes from those involved more carefully. There's plenty you are conveniently missing here.

That's not what I am referring to as you well know.

I have better things to do than argue with someone who is conveniently ignoring what the parties directly involved in this matter have been saying for the past few days. The quotes appear on the various boxing websites. You would have to be intentionally ignoring it not to know.

It is all documented in the various threads here too if you actually took the time to read it.

    Cheers. Leave you to it.

Imagine how jealous Wilder must be right now...

The video for that is hilarious. Tyson sees Ustinov, sees the size of him and that he's in shape and then claims he's being stitched up so pulls out with a dubious reason.

I don't think I've ever seen a professional fighter bottle it so publicly as that. And before one of his 5 fans jump in, yes of course I'd expect him to beat Ustinov just like I would Price but it's him who didn't have enough confidence in himself to take them on.

"We will be sending the WBO proof of the injury."

Everyone knows back injuries are impossible to prove or disprove medically, which is why people wanting to take time off work will always claim they have injured their back. I'd be very interested to see this 'proof'.

Right there is a huge dollop of BS, in all likelihood...

I'd have preferred Fedosov or Rudenko. Neither opponent is tall, but they're not complete garbage either.

I don't see the point in picking someone simply because they're tall if they have no other qualities. What's Parker going to learn from the experience? He's good enough to go in with a shorter opponent on late notice. It's not like he's going to start throwing punches over their heads because he trained for a taller guy in camp.

Spot on. That's why they chose a back injury as the reason.
