Would be a very intresting fight for sure. Gomez is fast and throws nice combos, but he did get stopped by diaz so his chin is a big question:good

Come on guys.. Any thoughts about this fight which could very well be made if Peter gets by Vitali, and that is a very big IF.

    Actually i like Peter. ;)

If he comes in the same shape as he did for Oleg, then he will lose on pts as Gomez is a slick boxer.

If he comes like he did against Wlad, then He can and will KO Gomez.

For the Diaz fight, Gomez was as bad as he could possibly be, and he'd certainly be much better for Peter. Tough tough fight for Peter, but I'd love to see it.

I am not sure his chin is that bad. I saw the fight with Diaz. Gomez came absolutely out of shape and way overconfident. I don't even think he trained for that fight.

In regards, to the fight with Peter, he can definetly outbox Peter as he is a much superior boxer. However, Peter has also a punchers chance. It also depends on their respective shapes come fight night.

Very tough fight for Peter, I feel he would do better against the big punching, suspect chinned Virchis. I feel Peter gets the decision win or late knockout, but he will have to come into this fight around 240, if not, it will end up going the distance, but the scorecards will end up being too close for comfort.

Where do you come up with such stuff, "suspect chinned Virchis?" Have you even seen any of his fights?

I seen the Chagaev, Sprott, and his most recently against Hawkins, I also seen some clips of his as well. He seemed to either have bad balance issues or a little bit of chin concerns, but is a very powerful fighter to say the least.

I am not sure what exactly you are referring to but he was not even hurt in any of the fights you had mentioned. While he is technically flawed and lacks high output, his chin and power are excelent.

Maybe suspect was a bad choice of words on my part, untested might be better choice. He seems to pack serious power, though he is rarely on his toes and looks to be a poor mans Sam Peter. He's what 34 or 35 now, why hasnt he got a title shot yet? Not sure if the Chagaev fight was a WBA eliminator or not.
