im afraid it is true, however Beltran sparred a 3 fight novice Hugh Gray who actually managed by Rickys manager Alex Morrison.

AAA left me and Peter when he was British and commonwealth champ.
He had many coaches between us and when he got given the interim title

The point is mate and I'm the only person who could say this is,Peter would have been furious if anyone helped an opponent of Scott's.
Let alone using a boxer managed by Alex

Beltran is in Scotland so he has to train somewhere and spar fighters and someone has to arrange all this, this is less of a contradiction than fighters in droves running to the Manny Stewards or Freddie Roaches.

the boy has to work with someone in the locale, doesn't he?

But that's not the same as Peter helping Beltran out, as the opening post made out.
That sounds like the guys using their facility, and there was a kid there got a few rounds.
That's no worse IMO than say Spurs letting Real Madrid train there before they play Chelsea.
I initially thought it was being said Peter was helping Beltran prepare for Burns, and I really couldn't see Peter doing that.
Anyway Billy, all the best to you and Ricky for the fight. Very good coach, very good fighter.

I think its great he is being made hospitable over here, would like to think it gets good press on his behalf and in future other fighters don't see Scotland as some sort of backwater. At end of day Ricky should be prepared for whatever beltran can throw at him, no excuses

Don't get this really as Billy doesn't mind where Beltran trains as he said. People making an issue out of nothing.

The point Billy was making was if he was letting one of Peters lads opponents train with him there would be hell on

If Team Beltran are relying on this week in Scotland as "getting help to beat Ricky" then I'm afraid they will be in trouble.

I'm pretty sure they have done their prep work and this week is just a case of ticking over.

If the boy is one of Alex's fighters though then I'm sure he was straight on the phone to Alex saying tell Ricky ............. isn't that how it works?

Anyway COME ON TEAM BURNS ............. INTAE THEM!

**** thread. He has to use some facilities in the country. Or would we expect no-one to help the lad out. Local gyms have always helped opponents out since the days of big fights.
No-one gave a **** when Barrera was over, being housed in some of our gyms for the Khan fight nor should we here.

He doesnt care mate what else do you want him to do other than say he isnt bothered? The response you highlighted was in context and tone to a previous poster

this is what I said, but we Brits will find fault in everything, it's our first response. Shame that we are still by nature backward & narrow minded.

that said, I am pulling for Ricky, good luck. :bbb
