That's exactly how the fight will go, if Vitali shows up as he always does then this fight could turn out to be hell for Peter, though don't bet on Vitali showing up as he used to at all. The man is coming off a 4 year lay-off, never went the distance much in his career and he tires quickly when he commits to his punches to keep someone off, as he will HAVE to against Peter.

If Peter proves he can take Vitali's punches then this will be a nightmare for Vitali as the fight goes but if Vitali is able to hurt him early then this could also be a short night for Vitali depending on what version of Peter we will see as well. Too many questions to be answered and the weigh-in will answer half of them, at least for Peter since Vitali always comes in top shape.

My prediction is a stoppage for Peter in the 8th or even 10th, Vitali just coming a long lay-off and even though I'm a huge fan of both it is definitely difficult to make a pick though most of the questions as referred to Vitali in this fight. This is a dangerous fight with no tune-ups at all coming off a long lay-off with serious career ending injuries.

If you ask me I think he has no intention of fighting Sam Peter.

If my suspicions are right, he'll be doing to Sam Peter what he did to Hasim Rahman. Vitlay is never a good sport when he doesn't get his way. Do you honestly think he was happy when Maskaev was pressed into fighting Sammy instead?

lets see how camp goes. for both guys..then we can start with the predictions

While we know Vitali has some work to do, so does Peter. If he comes in at 260-265 like he did for Toney, peter will be in alot of trouble even with a rusty Vitali

Of course. Right up until the week of the fight, as always, on schedule.

If Vitali can beat Peter after a 4-year layoff that would be pretty phenomenal but don't bet on it happening. Vitali was huffing and puffing against Danny Williams despite taking absolutely no incoming during that fight. How's he gonna react when Peter's stalking him and actually launching an attack? Peter's got the chin to buy himself the full 12 despite what people may think. Falsely accusing him of having a bad chin based on 1 fight after he walked through the right hands of heavy hitting Wlad and then Maskaev this past March is rather stupid.

Expect Vitali fans to pull the layoff excuse out of their pockets the moment Peter wins as though they were pulling a gun from a holster. That's life. Like I said, if Vitali wins it would be something but the guy's still a human being last I checked and he's going straight into a world title fight against a big puncher who's learned to box a bit. If I were Vitali I'd try and get in one of those unofficial "fights" like Henry Maske did before he fought Virgil Hill. Closed doors against a journeyman with no official result for the purpose of getting rounds in.

The odds are he doesn't show up...that should be a vBookie bet.

    I don't think he's started.

As much as I like Vitali but you're right here, it definitely should be a vBookie bet and one I would consider.

Of course not. He will knock Peter out between 4th and 7th.

he should put all his attention toward Vitali and not be trying to make money for the fight. the last time i saw him he was on cheesburgers with Mcline and was shooken by a boxer who's punch is gone and has a chin as soft as chode skin
