How do you think prime Peter Jackson would have fared against the top black boxers who came after him?
    For example against:
    Jack Johnson
    Sam Langford
    Joe Jeanette
    Sam Mcvey

Jackson might be the best of the 1800s(certainly pre 1895) but the gap between him and the big 4s era should be fairly wide. McVea IMO is clearly the worst of the "big 4". Theres a good chance the best version of Peter Jackson gets beaten fairly badly by the worst Sam McVea.

I am not sure I would take Peter Jackson against Bob Armstrong.

He makes Armstrong look foolish, imo.

Loses to Langford, 50/50 with Johnson, beats the rest comfortably.

I honestly believe Jim Johnson would beat him. Like McVea possibly badly.

I think Peters a lineal champ via the Cardiff lineage btw. But being the best HW H2H in 1892 is just not worth very much in like 1912.
