Serious question 40? Do you think the damage he took from eating wlad's right hands the whole fight ( and to his credit never going down).. Do you think that fight was actually detrimental to him like it took a lot out of him the damage he absorbed? ... i remember before that fight i though peter was going to destroy wlad. BUt since that fight i dont think he was the same be it confidence or what.?

as far as cracking his chin no,, look at the vitali fight he took everything he had and ate it,, take a look at the maskaev fight at the end of the 5th round maskaev threw perfect right that hit peter dead on and peter never flinched. I know people bring up the McCline fight but Peter had a ruptured ear drum suffered during sparring cause by a sparring partner cuffing him. I do think the fight with wlad did lower is moral some but Peter had major issues with Duva and in fact is suing Duva promotions for over 400 grand over the Vitali fight and I feel that is one reason he came in so heavy against chambers because he was looking for a way out from duva and had that I don't give a **** attitude. When Peter joined Top Rank he has dropped alot of weight and his attitude and training with a new trainer that has him training at big bear and a trainer that does not take any crap has really gave Peter a renewed outlook on boxing. Time will tell and even going into the Vitali fight there was so many problems with camp that Peter wanted to cancel the fight

I think most everyone here agrees that if Peter is to stand a chance in this fight, it will have to be early on, b4 Wlad get into his rhythm.
Although if Wlad doesnt get Sam outta there by 10, Sam could make it interesting late.

Yeah peter has a great chin and anyone who says he dont off the mccline fight is full of **** he got buzzed and still managed to recover and win. But yeah going in to the chambers fight i knew he looked like he didnt even want to be there i thought he was done with boxing. but the problems with management it makes a lot of sence on why...now it looks like he is recomitted... i hope he looks more like the old peter then the one in there with chambers.:thumbsup

Any pics showing off Peter's recent improved condition? I hope he hasn't eaten any villages in Nigeria and ballooned since the Aguilera fight...

Very Good Post, Think wlad this time around shows peters some new things. Wlad this time around will be more confident. He will take a new game plan to this fight. Ask his trainer? Going to be honest, peter may catch him, dont think so! Think wlad has learned to much at top, while peters has learned little at the bottom. Be a good fight while it lasts.
Only a prediction: wlad within 6 with a KO. :deal

I'd just like to take this time to point out, that while others such as Haye and Povetkin are ducking, Wladimir is, without hesitation, taking on a rematch with the opponent who gave him the toughest fight in the last 5-years.

In 2005, Peter had a huge confidence adavantage. He was undefeated and hailed as the new Tyson by Steve Bunce and others. Many felt and wrote that Wlad was unable to deal with a puncher and that Peter would KO him and Peter was certainly aware of the pre - fight press.

Now Wlad comes with a 14:0 run, 12 KO's. Peter has been revelealed as not having much KO power at the elite level. He barely beat McCline who was starched by Wlad. He lost to Chambers who was utterly outclassed by Wlad. He was pummeled by Vitali who came back from four years of inactivity. He knows he is not the best HW in the world and faces the prospect of being the remembered as the one boxer with three losses to the Klitschko brothers.

For Peter to have a chance to beat Wlad, he would have to completely reinvent himself as a fighter, lose 30 pounds permanently instead of using his camps to go from obese to fat and work on speed, skills, head movement. Like Stallone in Rocky 3. Not going to happen.

This will be about 5 years after they last fought. Peter was 243 then and may very well be even lighter this fight. Could either be a great fight or will it look like Chambers-Wlad? I hope Peter comes in 240 or under and gives a good account for himself. Win or lose.

If Peter comes under 240 I know Peter knows "This is it". Samuel have then realised this is the Beginning of the New Rising or this is the End of the Road For Nigerian Nightmare.

Samuel The mudafuking Peter Will Come there With His Gunz Blazing:deal:yep:rofl

I always liked Samuel. I wish he had try David Haye thou before Facing Wlad again. Maybe then Samuel would have to bring WBA belt on the table and have Finally The unification Fight Between Real men.

Total unification will only happen when someone takes out Vitali or Wlad. Good luck to Sam Peter in this fight but I just don`t see him taking it.

What do you mean, isnt Vitali like just about Retire, fight or Two left..?
Then if Wlad is still Champ he can fight for remaining belt?:huh
