Wow, I cannot believe how bad Samuel looked. He looked so overweight and Maskaev looked like a 50 year old fighter. I cannot believe how slow these guys were. Campbell fought his fight, but for some reason I do not like this guy's style. He seemed messy at times and his head go in first tactic was awful. I did not enjoy this boxing card at all. Ruiz beat McCline in an ugly fashion. This is not making boxing any better. If heavyweights could only be like back in the day. We have so many HWs that weight to much to even move with agility. I would love if Haye moved up in weight. If he moved to as high as 220 he would make things very interesting.
I was impressed by Campell's workrate and the fact he didn't wear down by Diaz's pressure. Those two heavy's looked horrible. Wlad or even Sultan could easily beat both.
The most impressive thing about Campbell is he wore down Diaz. That is not easy to do. The guy fought the fight of his life last night. And yes the heavies where horrible
I know...The guy started late and hasn't been in too many wars but he is still 36. Unbelievable performance last night, he looked 22
you guys are right about Campbell, he looked great for a guy that started boxing late. I'm glad that he got the W and the belts, it was well due to him after so long. I just don't particularly like his style. His style is bound to clash heads with someone and I don't like that because it could deprive us from a great fight. I just don't like his style I guess. I love boxing, just Campbell's style is not appealing to me.
While the HW fight was a slow motion afair and was only intersting when both fighters got hurt, the 1st fight was an absolute thriller. How can somebody not apreciate both Campbell and Diaz for the show they gave us?
The impressive thing to me was that what I saw last night was not Campbell's normal style. Campbell is a slick boxer-puncher with some pop, not a face first brawler who wears down his opponents in a phone booth. Campbell showed up with a game plan and executed it with pin-point accuracy.
