He's still a good fight for anyone in the game and could come again.

 

Why do so many people here hate Peter so much???? For godsakes he is a very limited fighter but he did manage to do what many heavy weight fighters have never done to win a world heavy weight belt!!!!! People here act like he beat his wife and raped his children for god sakes!!! He is a good christen man yea he lacks dedication and training but I don't see why so many people here hate him

Always criticized him, but respect that he fought the best and always seemed to want to win even when outmatched.

His best performance was Toney II, where he showed dimensions none of us ever thought he had.

Good fighter in the recent HW picture (good, not great). His time is about up, but he served up some good action in his day.

 

As far as I know, Peter does not beat up women like Void! He was a WBC champion, he still has some good fights left in him. Helenius is even better than I thought he was!!! He is heavy handed. Peter has lost to Klitschkos, Chambers, close dec loss, and now Helenius, the best out there. What a left hook Helenius put him down with!!!

 

Peter is not done, no. HE's only 30 or so, and came into this fight way overweight. Losing the weight and getting himself as lean as he's ever been will help his marketablity somewhat, maybe.................Also, get with a known, good trainer, and he'll probably be able to still be marketable for the ESPN level and make quite a bit of money.

 

Helenius is next hardgore fighter

 

His trash talking before several of his fights was disgraceful. Calling Vitali a bum et al. Great to see the fraud lying on the canvas.

Nigerian news-site, Vanguard is reporting that WBC interim heavyweight titlist Samuel "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter was threatened with a shotgun by in-laws over a reported "minor domestic dispute". The incident reportedly took place on December 15th at Le Meridien Hotel in Uyo, Akwa, Nigeria. According to Inspector General of Police Mike Okiro, the trouble began when during a heated argument Samuel Peter confiscated his wife Enobong Samuel Peter's car keys then threw her out of their hotel room. Enobong then called her brother Godwin Edet Etim and uncle Anthony Afia to come to her aid. An altercation broke out between Samuel Peter and his in-laws where claims that Peter ripped his clothes and rushed the duo. Etim went a retrieved a pump action shotgun concealed in his SUV and reports state that he "cocked" the weapon and aimed it at Peter. No rounds were fired as three policemen at the hotel managed to grab Etim from behind and disarm him. Etim told reporters that he was not going to kill Peter but only wanted to scare the boxer from doing his family harm. "I then went to my uncle's car to remove the gun but I wanted to scare him, not kill him, because he is so powerful and we cannot fight him. I want to say that I am not demented, I went to school and I am a married and responsible man. I agree that I pulled the gun. I only wanted to prevent him from assaulting my sister". Samuel Peter is scheduled to fight Oleg Maskaev on March 8th in Cancun, MX.
