I dont know if GG is that much better to the point where he could make the disparity in talent between them look so huge, as I say, Manfredo has a lot of heart, can fight on the inside, so at the very least, could be an entertaining fight, cause Groves is not that hard to find, likes a fight to.

I do think GG would win though.

    Pascal
    Hopkins

    Cloud

You think Manfredo could hang with any of them :rofl:lol:

yeah manfredo is a pretty much an easy touch.

i saw him against david banks. got hideously outboxed and tagged by every lead right hand that banks threw. banks is a poor technician and has stamina for 5 rounds at most. but seriously. almost rexposed pmj's defencive flaws. also lacy with all his defencive flaws and injury's was a slow, non throwing, pressure fighter and still got beaten.

he might draw numbers but so can verquan kimbrough in that respect

He's limited, but a decent, honest pro that got given two opportunities of a lifetime that anyone would have took in his position. The short video before the Edouard fight telling of how Manfredo Jr. squandered $750,000 by badly investing it was quite sad to see. I hope he gets another decent pay day and I don't think anyone would begrudge him of that.

My point wasn't that Manfredo Jr would be a force in the LHW division - I was pointing out how weak the division is in comparison to the Middleweight division.

Cloud? This is a man who's been given problems recently by the Road Warrior.

And to answer your question - No, Manfredo couldn't hang with any of those names.

Does it matter what division Pete is in? He's not world class as simple as that, changing division ain't gonna help. Have to remember people like Ismayl Sillakh are coming up in the light heavyweight division, he'd murder Pete. There isn't any obvious opportunity at light heavyweight just as there isn't at 168.

I don't know how you manage a guy like him. He's so out of his depth at world class its scary, but he seems to do alright beating the fringe fighters. he seems to pick up half decent paydays for what he does so good luck to him.

He'd be a decent opponent for someone like Macklin.

Better than the Eurostiffs that we seem to see so often.... Asikainen was shocking, the last opponent wasn't much cop either and Matt struggled like hell.

I like Peter a lot, The Contender is one of the reasons I got into Boxing and he was my favourite fighter from the series.

He is a nice guy and unlike a lot of fringe contenders he is busy and fighting decent journeymen building momentum. I hope he gets one more pay day before retiring in good health and good finances.

Same here, the 1st series was the best out them all. Gomez and Brinkley were my favs. Defo deserves one more pay day after watching that vid about him losing his money investing it badly

i too enjoyed the contender series and think manfredo jnr comes across really genuine. i imagine he will get at least one more shot at a world title because he is a household name because of the contender but his skills are not good enough. imo
