He's 39, hasn't fought in 4 years, and wasn't even close to world level when he last fought. He has nothing notable that would give him a competitive edge against younger, fresher opponents (not over big, not overly strong, not fast, not a volume puncher, not defensively elite etc.......). He might be able to beat a few cab drivers, he's gonna get decimated if he even steps up to top 30 guys SMW.

 

Tell you what Scum, if 3G fights Mandfredo within his next two bouts, I'll leave forever. Want to take the same bet, since you are so sure of it happening? Or are you just being a lil **** talker?

GGG will not fight Manfredo. I expect The Mysterious Uncle Al to “use” him for televised dates with his PBC fighters. Maybe someone like Jermall, so he can look devastating and demand 50/50 with a cash cow like Canelo.

Um... Didn’t he have a comeback fight some years ago? And I don´t remember it ending all that well.
Yup! Just checked. Manfredo retired in 2013 after a string of wins. He then had a comeback fight in 2016 against some journeyman which ended in a Draw.
It´s beyond me as to why Manfredo would risk it again.

 

It is actually for a rematch with Calzaghe in Cardiff.
