That's true. I just hope he stops hanging out with Toney.

Ok now Wlad held back...If you listen to Manny he said "They were amazed at how Peter took the punches Wlad landed...because Wlad was trying to knock him out." I've seen the fight plenty of times. Wlad wasn't taking it easy he was doing what he could. I think Mask will "Take it easy" for the same reason Wlad did. Only Mask won't have the skills to keep Peter at bay...he will go down just like Wlad but he will stay down. Mask's chin has let him down against big punchers throughout his career. At 38 years old this will not magically change. His claim to fame is beating Rahman twice...which is less than steller. I'm not saying that Peter is great I'm just saying I think he will not have any serious problems with Mask...I think he could trade with Mask and stop him within 5 rounds...

He could turn up 300+ and tripping over his own legs all the time - if he punches out Maskaev, he'll be the new WBC and it's as simple as that.

Even when Peter has been in good shape his face has still looked round.
I'm not gonna judge either his OR Maskaev's shape on photos like this, remember all the joy around here from the Toney fans for his pre-Peter II photoshots?

Which is why if you are making a prediction you should really wait until the weigh-in. In Toney's case that was a requirement. All those photos of him eating salad didn't really turn out to be worth a damn in the end.

My gut tells me Peter will win this, but I am rooting for Maskaev. Will reserve my decision for after the weigh-in is completed.

Maskaev doesn't want to look like a chump wearing the belt out of the ring, and needed a way to let people know he's champ. Afterall, Oleg has been lost in the concurrent shuffles of World Boxing Conspiracy turmoil, and an in flux of Russian champs. That medal is supposed to answer the inevitable question the mainstream public will ask..."WTF is an OLEG...???" Evidently, the negotiators for the fight didn't even know he was champ, as they were attempting to pay him below the champions share...

I think during the promotion for Peter's last fight he was wearing native African garb (which brought about much speculation about his shape), which covered his simillar condition at the time. I believe for the final press conference he looked good, and will this time as well.
