Martin did almost all of the work in the round but couldn't land any punches. Bostan danced around, pot shotted and won the round.

Round 8 - Martin goes down hard from a great uppercut from Bostan. Martin gets up in time but the ref stops the fight to spare Martin further damage.

TKO win for Bostan at :49 of round number 8.

 

Bostan looked fairly good but he really needs to throw more combinations. He was throwing one punch at a time against a shorter, older, slower overmatched opponent. That won't work when he moves up his opposition level.

 

You didn't see his previous fight in the USA then. Where he almost got knocked out, struggling badly in a close fight against a novice.

 

Nah I didn’t. I thought he showed a pretty wide skillset here though- good movement, parries, rolling with shots, good radar. Lots of tweaks to be made but I thought he looked talented for the level he’s at. How bad was his last fight?

 

McGrail looking absolutely hyper.

 

Pretty bad, it was much closer than the scorecards said. I had it a draw. In round 3 he was very close to being knocked out. Grant Smith gave him the riot act at the end of the round screaming ''What are you doing, you are going to get knocked out"
