i agree with you 100 percent, a lot of guys here talk and call people cans etc but would never even spar in their life, and forget sparring they probably could not do a normal work out ps cummings was a preety tough boxer
Hmmm one drew with Joe Frazier and the other got KTFO by Mike Tyson in the first round.......cant decide
Jumbo was a tough jailbird hombre, already on the verge of 30 when he turned professional, and if he had stunned Bruno like he did at the outset of a round instead of at the bell ending it, then boxing history might have changed then and there. Floyd got up to go ten with a well conditioned and ready Spoon (just two months after Tim's challenge of Holmes), had no difficulty taking Snipes the limit, and stood up to Larry Frazier's bombs for ten full rounds. Bruno need seven rounds, Jeff Sims eight. McNeeley got stopped thrice in a single round, and what Butterbean did to him is especially egregious. Whether this one ends early, late, or actually somehow went the ten round limit, the truth is that McNeeley was really never more than an eight round fighter, and is very badly over matched here.
Cummings's poor stamina usually failed him, but against the likes of Peter McNeeley it would hardly matter.

the great difference is jumbo faced the most pathetic version of frazier, not even prime frazier, the version of joe who faced ali in 1975 would have destroyed jumbo, and mcneley faced a 29 years old tyson who was not exactly in his prime but he was very good, at the time he destroyed every rival except holyfield because holyfield was incorrect for tyson, simple, is not matter if he was in his prime or not.
In fairness they did drag mcneeley from rehab into that bean fight. And that was bean at his very very best.
Mcneeley looks a bit faster in some of his early fights...I'm not saying that he would have ever beaten jumbo...but maybe the best Peter could have given bean a good fight.
