With Peter fighting Nagy Aguilera later this month as a IBF eliminator match, I seem to be a bit confused as to who gets Wlad next. Povetkin has pulled out a couple times in 09, so I could see hm losing his spot. Though I also read that if Peter won against Aguilera, Povetkin will be his next fight on road to another Klitschko fight.

So say Peter lays waste to Aguilera within 3 rounds as I'm predicting. Who do you see winning between Peter and Povetkin?

I'm going with Peter, as long as he stays below 255. Povetkin never faced an oppenent with power, and Peter said he has said in recent interviews that he's going back to fighting like his "Nigerian Nightmare" Monaker suggests. That being said, I think Povetkin would not be able to handle such a beast. Povetkin may hang around for a little, but will probably find himself in trouble by the middle rounds and stopped by the 6th or 7th round.

I don't have much faith in what Peter says. I need to see proof. If he wins his fight in devastating fashion I might rethink, but otherwise AP wins a wide UD

Fair enough. I dont blame you. I just feel Peter is at a point in his career where he feels this might be his last shot at a belt, so hopefully that gives him enough fuel to light his fire.

Peter can and most likely will look like a beast against Aguilera (who's awful), but that doesn't necessarily mean he's "back" or ready for a Povetkin.

Povetkin boxes his block off, probably even at Sam's best and with a less-than-100% version of Povetkin (ie the Chambers fight).

If Peter gets in shape, he should do well. One could say he experienced trouble against the boxer type (Chambers) (Peter was out of shape) but he did well against Toney, the grandmaster of 'slickness', though the first fight was close but the second Peter clearly won. I go for Peter UD

I voted for Povetkin although I believe that Povetkin is strongly overrated.
His last two fights were not that persuasive

Povetkin by decision....I don't think AP is all that good, but he's better than Peter at the moment imo, and has far fewer miles on him.
