Peter Quillin: "The fight with Golovkin doesn't make sense"

That's a direct quote from the horses mouth, what else do we need?

You can pick apart any of the "elite" MW's right now. Fact is he's being ducked by them.

Of course. Watch Golovkin struggle with a kid who had 7 amateur fights, slept on couches in Brooklyn yet already has a title, and your dreams of pizza face superstardom will quickly evaporate

Yes doesnt make sense when he wants Martinez who is miles and miles superior to pizza face and brings millions of dollars to the table.

I don't have any dreams of said fighter reaching superstardom, I just want to see the best fight the best. And Quillin-Golovkin is a great matchup that makes perfect sense as everyone including yourself want to see it happen.

And yet, we have a direct quote from Peter where he says it doesn't make any sense, so should he be immune to criticism or should we call him on his bull**** and try to make the fight everyone wants to see happen?

What part of quillins game is he going to struggle with? Quillin is pretty inactive in there, doesn't have very good defense either, average hand speed, average power.

Martinez is out for a good while, so in the meantime.. Quillin and Golovkin can unify the belts and provide us with entertainment.

Ofcourse Martinez, as he's the main man in the division.

But Martinez is busy with Murray/knee injuries, he might not even fight again after Murray, who knows?

Quillin was locked up with Guerrero on the Judah vs Garcia undercard for months

Im sure Golovkin will struggle to put away another light middleweight for your entertainment.

Quillin has dropped every opponent he's faced save a few. He has dropped or kod his last 5 opponents.

Meanwhile monster Pizza faced couldn drop a light middleweight

I don't think Quillins special. Great power, good timing, low workfare, open for straight punches down the middle

The fact i think he exposed GGG says more about pizza face than Q

You're acting like as if I'm this hardcore Golovkin fan who thinks everyone is ducking him...

Far from it, I just want to see good fights, and Golovkin for all his in ring flaws, seems willing to fight just about anyone.

I admire and respect that, I don't admire and respect dismissing certain fighers because they're not established. Quillin should remember when he come from, a humble background, the only reason he has a name is because Winky Wright off a 3 year retirement came out and gave him a chance.

Martinez has Chavez lined up after Murray, so he's not available till next year. GGG will probably have 2 more HBO dates this year.

The # 1 and #2 dont mean ****... Fear is very real and GGG scares him.

But he also said a fight with GG doesn't make sense which is not true. All I'm saying is he needed to word things better, that's all. Why is it so hard for Quillin to say he will fight Golovkin under the right circumstance?
