Quillin will take the easy route being carefully matched by his handlers. Taylor, Jacobs and probably Lee.

I do find it funny that ducking has actually made Kid Chocolate "famous". It's the only thing he is known for. The Korobov duck is far worse and embarassing than the GGG duck.

    It is funny.

I hear Quillin is going to be the keynote speaker at the Winky Wright School of Boxing Business luncheon this year, where the topic is "All Prize, No Fight". It's all about how to achieve financial wealth as a prize fighter without fighting by using secret sophisticated techniques.

Main point 1: Refuse to be undervalued. Accepting a seven figure payday means you can no longer call your skills "priceless".

Is this a quote? I don't see a source if it is.

His last fight was April 19! Unless something gets announced by early February he will have been inactive for over a year.

I don't think Quillin is a bad guy. It's just that he represents a growing trend of entitled fighters in boxing today, and is emblematic of boxers managed by a certain individual.

    1) Paid handsomely for less than top-notch competition.

    2) Given premium cable dates without going through the typical route (ESPN2, NBCSN, etc...)

    3) Paid handsomely despite having little widespread fan support. Would struggle to sell more than a few thousand tickets at a venue, but suckles of the teat of network rights' fees.

    4) Over-inflated view of their standing in the sport.

    5) Unwillingness to call out the best fighters, or make excuses for why a guy isn't worth the risk. Doesn't seem to control his own career and allows management to make ALL the decisions.

Insert the names Garcia, Santa Cruz, Stevenson and others and the criticisms are the same.

He's a likable guy actually. Too bad he's fallen in with Haymon and has become a disgrace to his fans along with other disgraceful ducking Haymon fighters. What an era this is turning out to be!

I doubt those were his exact words. Just the interpretation taken from the OP.

Quillin could become a big star if he beats GGG.

I remember seeing an interview with Quillin where he tied Mosley's shoe lace. I remember thinking then that Quillin seemed like a cool dude. Now i realise he was not fit to tie Mosley's shoe lace.
