News is that Sam Peter could defend his world title vs. Audley Harrison on July 12th in the O2 Arena of London.

So after the Jameel McCline situation, Sam Peter can have his second WBC-sancioned 'world title' fight vs. a fighter who wasn't even ranked by the WBC when the fights were announced.

This is what kills boxing. Absurdly undeserving fighters fighting for the HW green belt? Give me a f* break!

If Sam wants to stay busy, well, that a good thing. Fight Juan Carlos Gomez or Virchis... But Audley Harrison, not even ranked by the WBC? :huh :patsch :patsch :patsch

Anyone have Harrison's last fight on the Calzaghe v Hopkins card? I would like to see it.

  5. I have a copy but I don't have the time to upload it for the next week+ BUT trust me, you don't want to see it. Fraudley made a part timer look good!

surely the WBC are going to lose some respect for this debacle, if he isnt even ranked then how the hell can they sanction such a bout, like i said elsewhere what happened to the days when you had to be ranked in the top ten to qualify for a shot!!!
i am a brit living in canada so i will be supporting audley but it is not deserved!!!!

Scince you say I don't wanna see it, I take your word for it.

Do you think if Audley trains EXTREMLY hard for this fight that Audley would have a chance to maybe upset Peter?

  9. Audley has no chance, believe it. This guy was a part time boxer who Audley had massive issues with and even as limited as Sam Peter is he will deck Audley because Audley is a very very VERY weak version of Wlad and look what Peter was able to do to Wlad back then + McCline hits much harder than Harrison and look what happened there.

This is such an easy payday for Peter but lets be honest, if he faces a fit Vitali later in the year he at least deserves an easy opponent considering how he was messed around with regards to the belt & Maskaev for so long and will probably lose it when faced with Vitali anyway.

What I dont understand is why does Peter need a tune-up fight for Vitali.

At this stage in his career, Vitali IS a tune-up fight.

HW's always have a puncher's shot of winning. How screwed up would it be if Peter got caught and now Harrison is the champion. I don't think much of Harrison, but a shot at a title could bring out the best. Remember, stranger things has happened in the boxing ring.
