    Hey folks,

I'm a Peter fan, obviously. Not here to start a flame war. I respect all boxers for their hard work.

Technically, Peter still has a long road ahead but he has shown improvements in recent fights. He's arguably the biggest puncher out there today, has a rock solid chin, and motivation to boot. If he can just continue to polish up his boxing skills I think he has a legitimate chance of unifying the titles in the next couple of years.

I can definitely see a scenerio that has Wlad vs. Peter to finally unify the belts one day.

    Thoughts?

He would have hammered Toney some more if he was really good.

Correct. And that's all apart of him growing as a boxer in the ring. But I'll give it to Toney as he is easily one of the best defenders in the sport.

Peter will not unify the belts, but we are all unanimously agreed here that he will beat Maskaev and win the wbc strap.

Unfortunately for him he then has to meet Vitali. I will have to see more of Vitali before I can judge whether he has anything left to judge that fight.

Completely agree, I don't think Peter is ever going to make a huge improvement to his boxing skills. Also, I don't think Peter wins Wlad..sorry, other than rabbit punching and 1 legit KD, Peter pretty much lost every round. Wlad is indeed getting better on his defense, so the odds of Peter landing that money punch to KO Wlad is getting slim and slimmer. Peter, first needs to beat Maskaev, which he probably will..then I would give him a good chance against Ibragimov, but I think Chagaev beats the hell out of him. Chagaev has good skills, solid power, and a chin that could withhold Peter. Chagaev would make Peter his *****.

Peter beats every heavyweight out there right now except for Wladimir and Vitali.

He's been in with two live opponents:

    -Wlad schooled him
-He looked pretty good against a fat, stationary Toney

Not the type of performances you would expect from a guy that's supposed to unify the division

I think Peter could easily unify the belts, if Toney unifies them first then fights samuel.

Peter will of course destroy the glass-jawed Maskaev. It will be a big surprise, imo, if the fight goes more than a couple of rounds.

And sorry Klit fans, he knocks out the injured, inactive and aging Vitali, too. I called it exactly right on Brewster for ALL the same reasons. Older fighters with injury histories don't generally come back and beat younger fighters who have improved and are in their primes! :-(

Ibragimov is VERY beatable. If Ray Austin can put him on the canvas, Peter will most likely keep him there. Heck, I'd give Holyfield a decent shot against him. Chagaev is better, but I'm not sold on him either. Good lord, he beat VALUEV to get the title!

The only REAL threat to Peter unifying is Wlad. They are the only two guys out there right now I could see unifying. Peter has gotten better since their first fight, and even though Wlad's improved and addressed some of his stamina issues, his shaky chin still remains, and imrpoved Peter might very well be able to take advantage of it. Right now, I make that a "pick 'em" fight.
