    Exactly.

If the purpose is for a mere tuneup, Golota is the last one he should pick of those four, as Golota would be the biggest risk, and would stand a good/very good chance at beating Peter and thwarting his big VK showdown..

But I think Duva and King are milking Peter  a bit to generate money out of his title, while they have it. They are doing this by putting him in there with Golota ( a big seller) in order to make the most money, then hopefully, on to Vitali for even more money.

I think they may well pick Golota for the obviously better sales, but it'll be risky.

And I certianly hope they pick Golota. :good

Once again Golota will finish a fight on his back.

Didn't Duva train golota? Golota is the best case scenerio for King and duva. He is 40 but can win they are going to get a good payday either way. If Peter wins they have a big payday if golota wins they have a bigger payday.

if i were Golota, I wouldn't take the fight because if the fight is close (and it likely will be), he's not going to get the decision AGAIN. there's more money in peter having the title especially with klitchko on the horizon. i could be wrong, but if i am why would peter be considering Golota especially where the other 3 probably aren't on golota's level?

I agree, if I was Peter's management this fight doesn't make a lot of sense for him. Golota is the kind of fighter that you can lose to even in victory. Look at what he did in fights he lost to Bowe and Michael Grant. He ruined those guys!

Golota is just such a wildcard you never know which guy is going to show up. He could freeze in a round or he could look like the best fighter in the world.

Duva's "we'll give Samuel a bum in July because we don't want to jeopardize the Vitali fight" is pure garbage. It means fooling this sport and all of us. Taking an easy payday is one thing, facing someone who's not even a top-30 like Holmes or Drummond is a farce.

Both Thompson & Austin are/were mandatory defenses for Wlad, so you're implying that Wlad chose those 2 as opponents?

No, I was just saying it's not like Wlad hasnt fought weak oppenents as champion, Chagaev is no different in fighting Skelton as well.

Well to be honest Peter does not have to fight anybody if he does not want to, He could sit around and wait on vitali. But unlike alot of fighters he just wants to stay active until the big fight, its not meant to be a big fight just a tuneup:patsch

You are absolutely right! He doesn't need this fight and no has a right to complain about anyone he fights before Vitali...except maybe Vitali if it costs him a title fight!

Golota is high risk low reward, tuneup fight for Peter. A bum is what he needs to stay sharp before vitali

Golota is exactly what Peter needs, a big name, with a history of falling apart against aggresive, heavy handed fighters. If Peter dont knock him out in under 6 rounds, I will not only be shocked, but I would also be the first to say Peter isnt the fighter I thought he was. I really cant understand how anyone could have Golota over Peter, unless your a huge Golota fan or an extreme hater of Peter.

I think they see a substantial payday by putting Peter at risk against Golota, and he he does get by GOlota, there is a certain big payday in Oct.

So they are trying to cash in on Peter while they can, in my opinion. Two possible big paydays is more money than one big payday, and I think they see it as worth the risk.
