Peter v Vitali: "Who Do You Like?" Video, Press Conference, Staredown

It all depends on if Vitaly could sustain strenuous activity in the ring without being injured. However, coming off a 4 year layoff, I am not sure what to expect. I will be an interesting fight. Unfortunately, Sam Peter has convinced me less and less the more I watch him. I really want to root for the guy, but it seems to me he lacks in the dedication department. He really needs to get in shape to do well, and it seems he has failed the mark each time recently, with exception to the second Toney fight. I believe that for his age and abilities, he should be doing better in the ring if he were to dedicate himself more. With that said, I see Sam Peter winning a decision in an ugly fight with some moments.

Toney cheated against Ruiz and the fight is rightfully on the books as a NC. Other than a washed-up, punch-drunk Holyfield; Toney has no significant wins at heavyweight.

 

Steroids were originally used in sports as a recover means for injury...that is how Toney used the substances he was given. Anyone who thinks Toney is a steroid abuser is mistaken, he is only treating injury.

The only HW to defeat Toney is current World Champ Sam Peter, who only went down for a second over the course of 24 rounds battling Peter. In stark contrast, WLAD went down 3 times over 12 rounds against the same foe. Give Toney his due. He is an ATG.

 

None of that changes the fact that his fight with Ruiz was ruled a NC, because he cheated. And, for all his gum-flapping, Toney has accomlished nothing more than getting fatter since he moved-up to heavyweight.

And that does not work! It produces stamina problems. Vitali was dead tired after 4 rounds against Danny Willams, his hand where swollen. He won against Williams but Samuel Peter is not Danny Williams.

Wladimir did the hardest sparringss before the Peter fight and i belive Vitali will get injured when he sparred this way. And when he did not spare enough he will lose to Samuel Peter.

Coming back to the ring after 4 years it is not a good idea.

For boxing and for himself it would be better when Wlad did fought Samuel Peter to unify.

 

Does anybody else fear that if there is any "shady" goings on (scoring etc.. which we all know is more than possible in boxing), that they will favor peter? if peter beats vitaly, there's presumably huge money in a peter/wlad rematch. and you hear more than one boxing "insider" saying that peter winning is "best for boxing".

and we have heard the same so many times. Fights are not won in a stare down. Fights can, however, be lost there - usually by the so-called 'winner' of the stare down because of underestimating the opponent.

Vitaly should be too smart to fall for that, but you never know.
