Dont know how to post a link, all you have to do is type in "Vitali getting knocked down by sparring partners", click on the first choice you see, its on the "Scene" that reviews boxing, it will take you right to the article and give you a full description on the two sparring partners that floored Vitali in the fall of 05.
Vitaly is 37 years old, been out of the ring for almost 3 years, and can't make it through a training camp without an injury, and is way past his prime, his best fight he LOST and had half his face torn off in the process by LL, when he successfully makes it through a training camp without hurting his fragile body than i'll make a call..
If the fight ever happens and Vitali is healthy then I think he will demolish Peter much like he did Kirk Johnson. Vitali is too big, too good of a reach, has too good of a jab, for Peter to have more than a punchers chance. However, if I was Peter's camp I would put in the contract that if Vitali gets injured in training camp then the fight is off and Peter can fight another opponent. Too much time is being wasted between fights in this Maskaev-Peter-Vitali situation needs resolution and not delay!
Just read it. Again, without a footage it has very little credibility. In addition, there is a discrepancy with Wood's and Klitschko's statements. According to Klitschko the knee injury happen on Thursday, where Wood stated that knee was twisted on Friday. If you chose to beleive what people that you don't even personally know say, it is your choice. I personaly rely on verifiable facts.
On a site that talks about boxing, there is a new Dino Duva interview, and they say this fight will be made by 120 days. It seems Peter now has a vendetta and wants the brothers, back to back. Ha! I think Peter is in for a rude awakening.. Vitali takes him OUT.
You forgot a 5th option... "Training camp by KO" That one easily gets my vote. Please make a note. :yep
Fair enough, I read a similiar article on ESB awhile back as well, but I didnt look deeply into it, like you said, you can only believe so much without footage, but I do believe he was probably knocked down at some point in sparring, because I always believed every rumor has some truth to it, how much, we dont know because we werent there.
...................and yet you toss it around in many of your recent posts as if it were truth & you saw it with your own eyes. :huh
I feel the article's pretty credible, but people will believe, what ever they want to believe, the Travis Walker knockdown was taked about on this site a couple years back, thats where I first heard about it, then I went and seen it on other boxing sites.
Depends on Vitali's condition. If he can come back in shape like he was prior to retiring, then he'll easily KO Peter in the later rounds. It will be a repeat of his last fight. However, if he is out of shape and old, which 3 years of inactivity might have easily done to him, then he could lose even by a KO. It seems that people's chins get worse with age. So it really depends on what kind of shape Vitali can come in. After all, he did have some serious injuries that stopped him a few times.
Who knows with Vitali's long inactivity and breaking down body. He could very well be completely shot and a shell of his former self. However, if he's 75 percent of what he once was, he stops Peter in 8. If he's 100 percent (extremely doubtful), he stops Peter in 4 or 5.
